The Daily Briefing

Posted 7/16/2019 9:00am by L&A Family Farms.

The Daily Briefing has what you need to know about the sunflower maze each day - a daily picture, the weather forecast, special events, and more! Be sure to keep this page bookmarked for the latest!

TIME FOR A BRIEFING BREAK!

The final section of sunflowers has wilted, so that means we have closed for the summer season, however; that doesn't mean we're done for the year! Keep an eye out for information on a potential fall sunflower maze later in September! To stay up to speed, click here.

Hi! I was interested in bringing my nieces to the sunflower maze tomorrow. Do you think the sunflowers will still be in bloom for them to see? I realize it will probably still be muddy from past few days of rain.

Hi Lisa, unfortunately, we are thinking that the sunflowers will be pretty wilted by that time. If you would like to plan a trip for later on though, we are thinking that the third field will bloom closer to August 12th. Hope you can come to see us!

Planning on coming this weekend. Do you feel it will still be a good time frame to catch some good pictures with sunflowers?
L&A Family Farms said,
8/2/2018 @ 4:39 pm
Hi Isabel, just so you know, the flowers are starting to droop a good bit. While I think that there will still be some good flowers to see on Saturday, they most certainly will not look as good as what they did this last weekend. Also, jsut so you know, there are going to be three more fields that will bloom later on in the year. The next one we are hoping will bloom August 12th or close to that time. Looking forward to having you!

I was wondering how late the maze is open today.

How are the sunflowers looking this morning?
L&A Family Farms said,
8/11/2018 @ 10:03 am
Shelbie, The front half of the third section (current field) is looking good with open sunflowers! The back half hasn't opened as much, though, thanks to the weather and deer.

Hi! I have a small dog who is very good. Doesn’t pick on anything. Was wondering if i could bring him to the fields? We can just carry him if anything? Thank you!

If I were to come on Sunday the 12th will it look more full? Like the flowers will be there more in the front?
L&A Family Farms said,
8/11/2018 @ 2:17 pm
Hi Micah, sorry we do not allow dogs on the farm unless they are service dogs.
L&A Family Farms said,
8/11/2018 @ 2:20 pm
Hi Amy, the sunflowers will be a little fuller tomorrow and more in bloom. Just check the Daily Briefing tomorrow to see how they look tomorrow.

How long does it take to get through the maze? Also, how long is the wagon ride to the maze?
Sherry said,

Hi! I plan to come next weekend, do you think there will be still something great to see at that time?
L&A Family Farms said,
8/12/2018 @ 12:07 pm
Cassidy, It has been taking most visitors 20 to 30 minutes to go through the maze. The wagon ride takes roughly 10 minutes to get to the maze from the store.
L&A Family Farms said,

Sherry, We should still have some blooms next weekend, but it will largely depend on the weather this week. Keep checking The Daily Briefing for an updated picture!
Christopher said,

G'afternoon! I was wondering how tall a full bloom is? Kind of a weird question, I'm sure, but I wanted to take pictures and thinking of the different angles and if I would be able to see over the tops of the blooms.
Amy said,

Hi I’m wondering when will the third part of this field be in full bloom?
L&A Family Farms said,
8/13/2018 @ 11:58 am
Hey Christopher, it's a little bit of a weirder response, but it really depends! We have some flowers that are blooming that are closer to 6 and a half feet tall, and others that are closer to 3 feet tall. (Most of them are closer to five and a half feet tall.) The weather can have a huge impact on how tall the flowers grow!
L&A Family Farms said,
8/13/2018 @ 12:02 pm
Amy, we're expecting the flowers to look great all the way through this week. We can't guarantee anything, but they should look very good by this weekend.

Are you open today even with the chance of spotty showers?
L&A Family Farms said,
8/17/2018 @ 9:19 am
Hi Elizabeth, just so you know we only close when weather may cause a potential danger to our customer. We'll be open the rest of today, and all this weekend at least! See you here!
How are the flowers today?
L&A Family Farms said,
8/19/2018 @ 12:28 pm
Hi Ramona, today the field is still blooming but some are starting to wilt. A picture has been posted on the Daily Briefing page of what the sunflowers look like now.
L&A Family Farms said,
8/19/2018 @ 12:39 pm
Hi Jenny, unfortunately the sunflowers will be past full bloom by this Tuesday but there still will be a lot of color. Keep an eye on our daily briefing for the current update & weather conditions.

Will you be open Labor Day? And do you think the flowers will be looking good for a few family pictures?
Thank you!!
L&A Family Farms said,
8/30/2018 @ 10:08 am
Hello Nicole, we will be open on Labor Day, but we aren't quite sure how the flowers will look. Right now, they are really looking their best, so we're hoping that it stretches out that long, but it's kind of difficult to tell. Keep watching our daily updates though, and you'll know how they look every day.

How are the sunflowers doing today?
L&A Family Farms said,
9/3/2018 @ 9:04 am
Hello Julie, the sunflowers are starting to droop and loose and little bit of color, however; there are several sections in the maze that look really good due to the deer eating the sunflowers and the sunflowers growing back. There are pictures in the daily briefing that show how the sunflowers look today.
Allie said,

Do you know if any sunflowers will be available to view this weekend? 09-15
L and A Family Farms said,
9/14/2018 @ 9:32 am
Hi Allie, unfortunately, there won't be. If the last field does bloom, it will probably be another week or so before it does. Thanks for checking in though!

Will there be any sunflowers blooming this weekend, particularly tomorrow, Sunday, September 16?
L and A Family Farms said,

Hello Marci, there will not be a maze this weekend. We'll keep everyone posted if we will have another maze this year. Thanks for checking in!

Is anything blooming this weekend? 9/22?
L&A Family Farms said,

Hello Megan, unfortunately we do not have any sunflowers in bloom this weekend (9/22-9/23). We will keep everyone posted if we will have another maze this year.

Is there a last field and if so how is it looking?
L&A Family Farms said,
9/28/2018 @ 11:58 am
Hello Virginia, unfortunately, it's still just too early to tell. There is a lot of deer damage, so we want to make sure we have an idea of how things will look before people try to make trips to come and see us. Between that and the cooler weather, it will take a little longer. Thanks!

1. Уплотнитель.
2. П-образное армирование.
3.
